This is a beautiful early Austin Healey 100/ 6, recognisable by its unique central ridge and sharp orange reflectors at the rear. The first 100/ 6 also features a different bonnet frame and cylinder head to later models. This elegant British car was imported to the Netherlands in 2004.
The car is in very good condition and drives superbly well.
The big 2. 6-litre in-line six-cylinder engine develops 135 bhp, pulls like a locomotive and the sound of the exhaust is addictive! The four-speed manual gearbox offers lively, precise gear changes.
In 2023, the gearbox was overhauled and the other mechanical components inspected, adjusted and brought up to date. This 'Big Healey' retains most of its magnificent original features. For a sportier look, the front bumper was removed.
Additional Lucas SLR700 'Flame-Thrower' headlights were added to the front and the original wheels were replaced with sturdy MiniLite alloy wheels fitted with Michelin XVS tyres. This is a classic Austin Healey that looks great and drives great. A British sports car of impeccable purity that promises classic car enthusiasts sheer pleasure!
