BMW 635 CSi (E24) Automatic 1983 With its taut lines, double-bean grille and low profile typical of BMW design in the 1980s, this 635 CSi elegantly embodies the spirit of German grand touring. Produced in 1983, it comes in a sober, timeless configuration: light grey bodywork and black leather interior. Equipped with an automatic gearbox and the famous M30 in-line six-cylinder engine producing 218 bhp, the car underwent a thorough mechanical overhaul in December 2024. The cooling system was overhauled, the engine management system was checked, the braking system was overhauled and all the fluids were replaced, including those in the automatic gearbox. The fuel system has been completely overhauled, the belts and all the filters changed, and the car is fitted with four new tyres. A mechanical bill of over €4, 000 in December 2024.
The base is sound. However, the car has a number of areas that need to be restored, notably the interior, making it an excellent starting point for a partial restoration that respects the original. The original service booklet is present, partially stamped, adding a touch of authenticity to this already rare example in this condition.
