Description
Magnificent unmodified example Vibrant Viper Green on black interior Rare late 911 S Targa A rare late 911 S Targa presented in its spectacular original combination of Viper Green on black leatherette. This Porsche retains its original matching numbers for engine, gearbox and colour, as confirmed by the Porsche Certificate of Authenticity. Delivered new to Italy and carefully preserved by the same owner for 40 years, this car combines provenance, authenticity and restoration quality in an exceptional package. This 2. 4S was delivered new to Italy in this rare and striking colour combination. Remarkably, it has remained there until recently, passionately maintained by its owner since January 1985. Although the current owner acquired the car 40 years ago, this Targa is still in remarkable overall condition. This superb 1973 911S underwent a complete dismantling and restoration, bringing the bodywork back to its original state. Starting from a sound and authentic base, the body has been sanded, adjusted and repainted in its original colour. According to the previous owner and our own inspection, there are no traces of rust repair or previous accidents. Although the restoration is several years old, the paintwork is still superb. The factory black anodised engine grill and original badges are still present and display an elegant patina. Inside, the cabin is clean and largely original. It has been carefully maintained and partially renewed, while retaining as many factory components as possible. The original radio is still present. The Porsche Certificate confirms that this EU-spec model was delivered from the factory with a black leatherette interior. When the body was restored in 2014, the original 2. 4L engine and gearbox were completely overhauled, with pistons, cylinders replaced, hydraulic chain tensioners added, and the MFI injection system completely overhauled, recalibrated again in 2022. The result is a crisp throttle response, stable idle and clean gear changes - exactly what you'd expect from a true 911S. The engine starts from a standing start and runs perfectly smoothly. The car is accompanied by its original tools, jack, spare wheel and tyre, as well as a complete file including numerous invoices, the Italian Porsche Certificate, the Italian libretto, and numerous photos documenting the restoration. Recently registered in Belgium, this 911 had never left Italy until 2025. It has spent decades in the beautiful regions around La Spezia and Bari, and was even presented by the Porsche Centre Bari at an official event - proof of its exceptional quality and presentation. The 911S Targa 2. 4 represents the perfect balance between classic design, mechanical purity and everyday use. With its rare configuration, clear history and meticulous restoration, this example in an iconic colour is a unique opportunity to acquire one of the most desirable and collectible 911s.
