Description
Citroën 3CV AKL 350 “Week-End” (1967)
An extremely rare collector’s item
The “Week-End” was a versatile version of the 2CV Fourgonnette, designed to carry both goods and passengers. For this, this version was equipped with large rear side windows and a removable rear bench seat. Thanks to the drop-front seat, passengers could easily get in, and a recess in the floor offered more legroom. When the seats were removed, this recess could be covered, thus restoring all the loading space.
The AKL “Week-End” was also distinguished by more luxurious equipment, taken from the AZAM6. It featured stainless-steel wheel trims, the same steering wheel, the same front bumper and decorative mouldings, as well as the same engine and a 12V electrical system (a first in 1967). The two-tone bodywork is also characteristic of this model — here in “Carrara White” (AC144) and “Kandahar Grey” (AC133).
This example was built in Forest (Brussels) in 1967 and was only available in Belgium, the Netherlands and Switzerland.
The car has had only two owners. The current owner has held it for more than 40 years (purchased in 1983) and has kept it as close to the original as possible, with only a few small modifications. It has been used only on special occasions, which explains its very low mileage of 83, 142 km.
This is very likely the only “Week-End” registered in Belgium and, to our knowledge, the only one currently on sale in the world — a genuine collector’s piece.
All original documents are present, and the vehicle can be inspected for sale.
