Description
Hello,
I am putting up for sale my white 1989 Peugeot 205 CJ, Phase 1, 1. 4 TU carburettor engine.
It's been in the family since 2008, lovingly maintained and aimed at a discerning enthusiast. It has 164, 000 kilometres (slightly increasing). In winter it stays in the garage.
Overall condition
The car runs perfectly, starts at the drop of a hat and offers genuine driving pleasure typical of a youngtimer. The bodywork is in excellent condition, very clean for its age. No corrosion.
Only minor classic fault on the 205s:
• Driver’s seat fabric worn. The other three are in good condition.
• Paint slightly peeled on the right rear bumper.
Recent work / new parts
Several interventions have been carried out recently, with invoices to prove:
• Filters (air, oil, fuel)
• Spark plugs
• Belts (including alternator / accessory belt)
• Shock absorbers
• Brake pads and discs
• Complete rear brake kit (shoes + springs)
• Tie-rod ends, transmission and various running gear components
• New alternator
• New battery
• Recent tyres (summer and winter)
• Oil changes + consumables
• CV joints replaced
• Soft top renewed at the start of the year (invoice available)
Total cost of work carried out recently: ≈ €4, 000
All invoices are available.
Equipment & added options
• 205 CTI alloys, freshly repainted (I was planning to switch them to white)
• Original wheels + trims available, included if needed
• 2 JBL speakers neatly installed on the rear shelf (original rear bench preserved)
She also has an anti-theft device.
Why am I selling it?
It’s a car I’m very fond of. I’m selling it for personal reasons (unfortunately) and I want it to go to a fellow enthusiast who will appreciate it and take care of it. It’s a pleasant, reliable model with a nice sound, and it’s gaining value among youngtimers.
Price: €8, 500
