Description
Mercedes 280 SE (mechanical fuel-injected model producing 160 hp, unveiled ahead of the legendary 300SL).
On this car the bodywork was revised around the two front wings where superficial rust spots had appeared.
Removing the two front wings and their replacement allowed a thorough treatment of the bodywork.
The applied paintwork is of very high quality and lets the car reclaim its former luster.
A mechanical overhaul is underway, including replacing the braking system (discs, pads, calipers and flexible hoses) and inspecting all suspension components.
The headlights have been restored as has the electrical system that has been overhauled.
Replacement of all fluids.
Driving a Mercedes from those years plunges you back to an era (the mid-1960s to early 1970s) when these cars became the queens of the road thanks to their technological advance, legendary reliability and the substantial engine power from injection (the most powerful Citroën DS reportedly had 130 hp).
These cars were bought at the time by industrialists and showbiz stars given their price.
The interior is in very good condition with no signs of wear.
Ready to hit the road, returning you to the ambience of the 1970s.
