While today you'd be forgiven for never having heard of'Motosacoche', it was once Switzerland's largest motorbike manufacturer and was renowned for supplying engines to the likes of Royal Enfield, Brough Superior, Ariel, Matchless and even Triumph at various times between the wars. The Helvetian manufacturer also built its own motorbikes, and here we find one of the best original survivors of the Motosacoche 409 that you're likely to find.
Resplendent in its beautifully weathered original paintwork, this bike is fitted with period accessories and is offered in good running and riding condition. Although there is room for improvement in its reliability and handling, this bike is an excellent opportunity for collectors or those looking for a small-scale motorbike project. With French registration and a valid normal vehicle registration document, this remarkable motorbike is ready to be handed over to a new owner.

- We are told that the bike runs and drives well, although there are a few minor problems
- The magneto heats up after about twenty kilometres.
- The brake linings need changing.
- We understand that there is an intermittent problem with the kickstarter.
