1953 Dodge V-Eight

Highlights

  • Two registered keepers since Italian registration in 2019
  • Honest patina complemented by presentable brightwork
  • Italian registration documents reported in order for transfer

The Appeal

The 1953 Dodge V-Eight introduced Dodge's very first V8 engine - the Red Ram Hemi. The much-loved passenger car was offered a massive power leap over the old 103–123 hp flathead inline-six engines, with Hemispherical combustion chambers and canted valves. The short-stroke engine also made them smooth runners with surprising longevity - and a perfect target for modders who fancied a Dodge hot-rod.
This example was imported from Germany and registered in Italy in 2019. Finished in black with red-accented steel wheels and white-wall tyres, this long-nosed machine positively lives and breathes the golden age of American motoring. The bodywork carries a gentle patina that lends the car an honest, characterful look. Powered by its V8 engine producing 87 kW (engine code D44), it comes with Italian registration documents and is now ready and waiting for its lucky new keeper.
