THE APPEAL

Ford’s F-100 is not only an American icon, but also one of the world’s best-selling vehicles.

After almost 70-years of continuous production through 12 generations, the F-Series tops the US sales charts ahead of any car even today, such is its place in US folklore.

As such, there are loads of survivors, which makes finding parts for early examples relatively easy and inexpensive – even if you’re in the UK.

This one was imported to British shores a couple of years ago and is essentially a blank canvas.

A standard F-100 six-cylinder, it’s a genuine early truck in good, unrestored condition, having been previously repainted from its original faded red but otherwise kept standard.

It’s the perfect basis for a standard-spec restoration or a mild to full-custom truck, in wonderfully solid order.

SUMMARY

This is a very cool vehicle indeed, amazingly solid, with huge road presence and incredible styling.

It’s a runner, all of the important import papers are done and what you do with it next is entirely up to you, whether you keep it “as is” or turn it into something of your own design, it’ll be a real head-turner no matter what.
