The Attractions
It all began at the Turin Motor Show in 1959. When a young Giorgetto Giugiaro delivered some drawings into the hands of Nuccio Bertone. This led to his first car, the Alfa Romeo Type 102 2000 Sprint, and its prominent role in automotive history for the next 70 years.
The 2000 Sprint was designed in just three days and proved revolutionary, innovating car design by abandoning the traditional approach of using the headlight to create the wing profile. In fact, in this car the headlights were placed inside the grille. But it was also a dynamic and attractive design that influenced the design of Alfa Romeo coupés for many years to come.
Only 704 2000 Sprints were built in just over two years and this is one of the very first examples. Extensively restored by the seller, a well-known industrialist from northern Italy, it is in good condition and requires only a little simple work to complete. This is a very rare opportunity to purchase one of the most desirable Alfa Romeos with the possibility of completing it to the buyer's preferred specification.
