The Attractions

After the Second World War, the talented Italian engineer Giovanni Moretti turned his attention to automobile production, presenting a remarkably diverse range of cars under the Moretti name. Incredibly, he even designed and produced his own engines and created cars for prestigious competitions such as Le Mans and Formula 1. However, by the early 1960s, it became evident that continuing to excel in so many areas was no longer economically viable for such a small company.

But all was not lost for Moretti, who turned to customised versions of the Fiat, including several interesting models based on the 500 and 850 platforms. We are pleased to offer this rare and very attractive example of the Moretti 500 Coupé, believed to be one of only 50 or so remaining in circulation. As an example sold in Italy with only three registered owners, it is a great find and, moreover, is offered for sale after a recent tune-up and overhaul in October 2023.
