The Appeal

The 1966 Buick LeSabre is a fine example of Buick's engineering in the mid-1960s. During this period, if Cadillac were the golden goose of General Motors, Buick were undeniably a very rich silver. The company was afforded ample investment into its vehicles, which usually resulted in something very special compared to much of its contemporaries - right down to the the '66 340ci V8 engine, which was cast and assembled in-house to a very highly standard. Coupled with Buick's advanced bi-metal drum brakes and a Super Turbine 400 automatic transmission, the car was a highly refined beast,

It became a superb upper-middle-class family car, and continued to do so stubbornly at a higher price than, say, its Pontiac rivals - with a uniquely distinguished character and distinctive coke-bottle lines, it was a very refined sort of V8 four door that may not have become as legendary as other GM products of the era - but continues to raise eyebrows and impress enthusiasts the world over.

This particular LeSabre is in excellent condition, with its original upholstery and paintwork still intact, in a highly distinctive colour combination that's quintessentially 60s. If you're after a unique mid-century V8, this is a simply excellent opportunity to get your hands on one.
