The Attractions
The TR4A introduced a slight evolution of Michelotti's refined two-seater and, in doing so, increased its appeal in its main market, the United States. Across the pond, buyers appreciated its lively 2.1-litre engine and its agility and handling.
TR4As destined for the US market were available with or without the well-known independent rear suspension (IRS). Cars with chassis numbers prefixed CT retained the leaf spring suspension preferred by American importers.
This TR4A with CT prefix is a car destined for the US market that was extensively restored in 2021. It is an excellent quality car that looks magnificent in its Brooklands Green colour scheme. Absolutely standard, with beautiful wood interior trim, it is a great way to discover the many pleasing features offered by these classic British sports cars.
