The Appeal

The 1970 Morgan 4/4 4 Seater is a quintessential British sports car that blends traditional craftsmanship with performance. Assembled in the same ash-framed, hand-built manner the company uses today, the 4/4s are hand-built, traditional sports cars that were paradoxically modernised and kept up to modern road standards - and, as a result, have become particularly prized classics.

This particular example, finished in Rosso Red, is not only a striking classic car but also a proven competitor, having participated in the Morgan Speed Challenge and the Morgan Company Challenge.

This is definitely reflected in its hardware. This fabulous 4/4 is powered by a Ford 1.7 Cross Flow Engine by Vulcan Engineering, producing 135-140BHP, and comes with a host of upgrades including a downdraft Weber carb, an equal-length exhaust manifold, and an upgraded rear axle.

The car has been well maintained, with a major restoration in 1987 and a comprehensive history file that offers credibility to the low mileage of only 68,000 on the clock. Whether you're seeking a classic car for Sunday drives or a potential competition car, this Morgan 4/4 is worth considering.
