The Appeal
Norton had a torrid timing during the 1960s. But sometimes, out of adversity, comes genius. Such was the case with the arrival of the Commando.
This smooth-riding design ushered in the firm’s Imperial phase. Its canted-forward engine also made it look quite unlike anything else on two wheels. The Commando was spun off into many different models. The Roadster replaced the USA market S with its low level exhaust. The Mk2 from January 1971 provided light revisions.
Built in June 1971, in remarkable condition displayed in black with gold decals, it also comes with a set of red and white bodywork offering a choice of looks. With restoration work, it is a beautiful example of this much-loved British classic.
