The Appeal
The Silver Shadow was a very different type of Rolls-Royce, one built for the new era of owner-drivers. But for buyers with more traditional tastes, from 1970 the firm offered a long wheelbase version where owners could stretch out in the back with 4in of extra space.
From 1976 this model got its own name, Silver Wraith II, which harked back to the firm’s first post-war model. These were rarified cars differentiated by Everflex roofs and small rear windows. Just 2,135 left the factory over four years.
Most of those were LHD destinated for the USA. Here is a rare RHD example. It is very original, finished in a pleasing two-tone metallic blue colour scheme that is echoed in the cream leather and blue velour interior. While there is scope to improve the cosmetics, it comes with a long ITV to January 2026 that verifies the solid structural condition.
Whether you buy it to simply enjoy a spacious limousine or with an eye on its commercial potential, perhaps as a wedding car, this is a stylish example of these hand-crafted luxury saloons.
