Marking an important chapter in the history of Mercedes-Benz, the W116 was the first S-Class in the line and the last car designed by Friedrich Geiger, who had been with the company since 1933. Featuring hydropneumatic suspension, spectacular levels of comfort for its time and fabulous styling, it was voted Car of the Year in Europe in 1974 and proved to be a best seller for the brand.
Here we have a completely original example that was imported to Belgium from the dry climate of southern France, Rocamadour. In typical German fashion, this Mercedes-Benz continues to run well despite clocking up 368,478 kilometres on the odometer, and is in very good overall condition.
