The Appeal
Produced between 1947 and 1981, the H series van would become one of Citroën’s longest-running and most popular utility models. Known for their industrial design and delightfully simple mechanics, these hardy vans made for the perfect workhorse.
Today, the H van’s practicality and quirky looks offer another angle of opportunity, in the form of commercial use for businesses. As evident by the removable graphics decorating the van, this particular example has previously been used by a renowned coffee business and was the recipient of a thorough overhaul for its new purpose.
After being purchased in December 2015 from a reputable HY dealer based in France, the van was then transformed by a specialist bodyshop. To the sum of £4,000, the van was stripped right back, coated in anti-rust paint, primed and then spray painted in a delightful metallic green. The vehicle’s undercarriage was also coated in heavy-duty anti-rust coating, and the van was treated to an array of genuine replacement parts from France.
Now sold only due to lack of us, this French icon is the perfect tool for versatile business use, offering great potential for the likes of similar catering businesses, and retro-themed side hustles.
