The Appeal
Get a classic Rangie and fill it with a 200TDI - it's a popular conversion for good reason. You get to maintain the timeless presence and go-anywhere, do-anything character of the car with a rugged, frugal turbodiesel that isn't nearly so thirsty or demanding.
Purchased in early 2021, this Range Rover has served its current keeper as a daily driver for over five years, covering around 4,000 miles per year, during which it has reportedly proven reliable and capable. The chassis and body are reported to be solid, with welding carried out in the usual trouble spots including rear cross members and seatbelt anchorages, and a new aluminium upper tailgate has been fitted to ward off the corrosion that plagues the original steel items. Mechanically, it has been well maintained with regular fluid changes, a clutch replacement, new swivel balls and wheel bearings, and a timing belt change at 57,000 miles. It comes with a fresh MOT and rear brakes currently being renewed.image.png1.66 MB
