The Appeal
Where its predecessors had gradually nudged BMW towards mass-market, mainstream success, the E36 turbocharged the effort. Here was a mid-sized saloon that was everything virtually any driver could possibly want, from frugal-engined models to tyre-smoking M-cars, versatile estates to svelte cabriolets.
The drop top delivered a full convertible experience whilst retaining space for four and their luggage. Meanwhile the 2.8litre engine was a particular peach in the range, a smooth, torquey motor that delivered a hefty turn of speed.
This late model E36 328i cabriolet brings together both those appealing elements. Factory supplied with a long list of options it comes to us in pleasingly standard condition. It has been very well preserved, the interior in particular reflecting the care of its owners and quality of the fittings. There is also a APK till July 2024 to further dial up the appeal.
