Well maintained, desirable and rare 309bhp V10 Twin Turbo diesel
MOT to September 2024 with no advisories.
The Appeal
The Touareg was Volkswagen’s first foray into the luxury SUV market. But at its launch what grabbed headlines was the remarkable 309bhp 5litre V10 diesel version. At the time it was the most powerful production diesel engine in the world and we doubt they will ever build anything quite like it again.
The Touareg V10 was the company’s technological showcase. Alongside the big twin turbo diesel was a clever Continuous Damping Control air suspension system that gave this flagship executive-level ride comfort.
These rare 4x4s make excellent tow vehicles, but this low mileage early V10 doesn’t appear to have been used that way. Instead, it has been clearly cared for, a continuous run of service work and a gentle life on Guernsey indicating sparing use.
The first generation Touareg was built to a very high standard and this one remains in great condition inside and out. It’s UK registered and ready to use and enjoy, making it an interesting alternative to other common, powerful SUVs.
