1954 Morris Minor. (first reg 03/ 03/ 54) So free Road Tax and M. O. T. exempt plus cheap classic ins. 40+ mpg. Its been re-bodied and re-engined (998cc) at some time in its long life. Ready for the road and used regularly. 71, 000miles on the clock but ?????
Great runner, very reliable. Many new parts - 4 Toyo tyres, all brakes drums, brake shoes, battery, petrol pump, ignition system (with elct ignition, plugs, leads cap, coil etc.). Some spares incl manual & hand book. Regularly serviced and oil sprayed underneath. Very little rust for the year (door skin bottoms). Oil tight engine which doesn’t burn oil. Good gearbox (4sp + rev). Non standard Metro front seats , (with head rests and seat belts for extra safety). Interior (back seat) a bit tatty. Both doors, boot a filler cap lock so it secure. Cheap classic with readily available spares (e. g. full stainless steel exhaust system @ £90). Health reasons force sale of this family pet (aka Gloria).
Paint work could do with some attention (its been very poorly sprayed at some point) but if you want cheap motoring around the country lanes in summer in something which oozes character and which receives a lot of attention – this is it. This would be an ideal restoration project but why bother when it is such fun to drive as it is. If you want something to polish this is NOT your car. If you want a popular classic to drive – this is it! Based in Lancashire.
