It's remarkable to think that this car is celebrating its hundredth year. The Chrysler 60 is a significant product of Chrysler's formative years, offering engineering that was advanced for its era, including hydraulic four-wheel brakes and a torquey three-litre straight-six side-valve engine. To find one in its original, well-preserved state is rare.
The Chrysler car spent much of its life in museum storage, which accounts for the survival of so much of its original cosmetics. It has since been mechanically rebuilt to bring it back to full running order, while the patina and character of its coachwork and trim have been carefully preserved. The vendor describes it as a functioning time-warp: it starts on the button every time, and the VSCC credentials are already established following its use as the Course car at Wiscombe Park hillclimb earlier this year.
