In the 1960s Fiat and Alfa Romeo gave the world two of its greatest, accessible two seater sports cars,, the simply named 124 Spider and Duetto. Both were in production for decades but remained virtually unchanged throughout their long lives.
Key to the Fiat's appeal was the 'Lampredi' twin cam engine, available in various displacements and states of tune. Most 124 Spider's were equipped with the 2litre version but afficionados rare the smaller, sweet-revving 1600cc alternative particularly highly.
This 1970 1600 Sport began its life in Europe before spending an extended period in the USA. It arrived in the UK in 1996 and remained with its long-term owner until 2022 when the vendor acquired it.
