Celebrated trials machine, sought-after for twinshock competition
The Appeal
The Bultaco Sherpa T is one of the most revered trials motorcycles of the 1970s, a machine that helped shape the discipline and remains hugely popular in classic and twinshock competition today. The 328cc two-stroke single, paired with a five-speed gearbox, offered a combination of tractability and agility that made it a favourite at every level of the sport.
This particular example has remained with its original owner since 1977. It was used at club-level trials events through the late 1980s before being professionally rebuilt and restored in 2020 for classic trials use. Since the restoration, it has been ridden only once or twice around the owner's field. The frame has been powder-coated in silver, while the petrol tank and side panels are finished in red with period decals. Mechanically, the bike has benefited from a full top-end rebuild, electronic ignition, a new Mikuni carburettor, and new adjustable rockshock dampers.
The vendor states that the motorcycle presents very well in all areas and runs strongly. Whether intended for a collection or for classic twinshock competition, this Sherpa T looks to be a fine opportunity.20260317_134006.jpg5.53 MB
