The Appeal
The Bentley Continental R represented the pinnacle of British luxury motoring when it was launched in 1992, being the most expensive car in the world at the time. This hand-built grand tourer marked Bentley's return to distinctive two-door coupé styling, keeping the illustrious marque distinct against its oft-crossed brand mates at Rolls-Royce, and keeping a rather more aggressive character thanks to its muscular lines and imposing presence.
This particular example stands out even among its rare peers, being one of just 75 right-hand drive cars supplied in 1992 from a total production of 544 right-hand drive examples. Finished in a bespoke Ming Blue—a deep royal blue shade historically associated with the prestigious Flying Spur Bentleys of the 1960s—paired with full black Connolly leather, this Continental R is a real looker, and we're expecting plenty of interest at auction.
