The Appeal

The 991 wisely didn’t stray too far from the 996 formula, most notably focusing on returning some classic 911 air-cooled cues in the form of those ovoid headlights and a much-improved interior. The Carrera S got more power thanks to a 3.8L 400bhp flat six plus the firm’s clever PASM system that delivers sharper dynamics.

This 2012 991.1 Carrera S is quite a find. Finished in eye-catching Pure White with Carrera Red leather and matching roof, it is a very high specification car with pleasingly low mileage. The added features include Sport Design Package, which adds GT3 Aerokit front bumper and ducktail rear spoiler, plus GT3 carbon fibre bucket seats, 20in Carrera Classic alloys and extended interior leather. Then there is this car’s centrepiece - a very rare 7spd manual box.

The car’s quartet of keepers have kept on top of the servicing, which has been undertaken by main dealers and specialists. The last service was in March 2025. Other notable work includes adding an H&R lowering kit in 2023,a new clutch in the same year and wheel refurbishment in 2022. The MOT runs to June 2026 with no advisories.
