Volkswagen Golf GTi mark 2 8V 3 door, finished in black with grey cloth interior. First registered 9th January 1991 by Ian Skelly VW Liverpool, with only 3 owners(2 previous) from new. Optioned with BBS alloy wheels, sunroof and as standard power steering. Being a later mk2 has the bigger bumpers.
A rebuilt engine was fitted in 2020 and still needs running in as it has only covered minimal mileage since. A new water pump and cambelt were fitted at the same time. Super original with no holes in the parcel shelf, no engine modifications and a tidy interior.

2 keys and handbook present, invoices of later work completed. This has been a local car from new, the second owner was the nephew of the first owner and the third only lived less than 10 miles away from him.
The Golf has been through the workshop, after replacing the fuel and cleaning the spark plugs the engine runs smooth, a new coolant expansion tank has been fitted as the old one was cracked. The brakes have been checked along with the brake pipes, the Golf is very solid underneath. The panels look original and the GTI had a respray in 2013, few minor marks on the paint work as per the age. The body would benefit a machine polish to take it to another level.

This has the base to make something special or just enjoy as is, a 34 year old Golf GTi that has had only 3 owners and is HPI clear is a rare find.
