1977 Bmw R60/ 7, upgraded with 55hp UK 1978 R80TIC 797 engine, reputedly the best boxer engine BMW ever made.
Retaining original 5 speed box and 37/ 11 final drive, acceleration is brisk!
Restoration in 2011 with black powder coated frame and bodywork, new dual seat assembly, rebuilt brakes, forks, wheels w/ stainless steel spokes, media blasted hubs and barrels.
Top-end rebuild carried out with new pistons, rings, valves, rebuilt carbs 5000 miles ago. Complete stainless steel exhaust system and new rocker covers were fitted as were numerous stainless & polished fittings. All badges, graphics and rubber components were replaced and a "Sure Stand” fitted (Original still attached). Restoration continued with new centre stand, throttle bevel and chain, grips, speedo cable and rebuilt ATU. . Registered as 'Historic' so MOT & Tax exempt. £4500
