This rare Y reg 1982 launch year MG Metro is now available for sale. This particular Metro would make an ideal restoration project for its new owner.
Finished in Cinnabar Red and registered in October 1982, it has all of the early MG Metro features including black herringbone seats, black door cards, black dashboard and a clutch rest.
63k miles showing. Last on the road in 2004 looking at the last tax disk in the car. Only 5 previous owners. Hpi clear as well.
Starts and runs (video available) although I can't drive it as the clutch master cylinder has packed up - but I was assured by the last owner it drove and went through the gears prior to the master cylinder giving up.
Having looked over the car it needs work but is by no means a rot box. The passenger side rear sill will need a patch plus the passenger side front floor. Both of the A pillars will need work. The petrol filler area and boot corners are rot free and the drivers side sill is clean. Please note this is not an exhaustive list of what work is required and I would recommend that if you are genuinely interested in the Metro you come and see it.
I have the keys plus V5C and original owners manual.
With MG Metro values on the rise, this would make a super project to put back on the road.
