1954 Austin A40 Somerset
The Austin A40 Somerset is a motor car which was produced by the Austin Motor Company from 1952 until 1954. The somerset replaced the A40 Devon and, as a body on frame car it was comparable in size to its predecessor. It shared a number of components with the Devon which included a similar 1. 2litre strait 4 pushrod engine. The Somerset's engine was updated to produce 42hp giving the car a top speed of 70mph.
UFM350 is in lovely condition and a true credit to its former keepers, the underside and interior is as clean as its bodywork. Everything is in working order, all the gauges, sliding steel sunroof etc.. All chrome work in good order, working trafficators but also fitted with a set of indicators.
Starts and drives as it should, engine is very quiet and smooth
Large history file containing original handbook, new and old style v5 logbook, various invoices for work carried out over the years.
