It is sometime since I had one of these glorious MGCs I just love love them. This is an MGB for grown ups. The MGC is fast, unstressed and addictive with the laziest of 6 cylinder engines. All for half the price of a big Healey.
The example I offer here has a facinating story to tell. According to the car's heritage certificate the car was built 0n the 14th of July 1969 and has had just 5 owners from new. The history file contains a history trace from the DVLA listing every registered owner from the first day of registration on 15th of July 1969.
The engine has been breathed on by MGC guru Doug Smith of MG Motorsport. The 6 cylinder engine has a lightened flywheel, a freeflow exhaust manifold, electronic ignition, a stainless steel exhaust system, K & N air filters and spin of oil filter conversion. Recently fitted with a new radiator and hoses together with new oil cooler with braided pipes and alloy rocker cover. Car also comes with single 12 volt battery conversion.
The suspension has been treated to polybushes all round. It has a full ball joint suspension conversion, uprated torsion bars and a quick steering rack. All these modifications were also carried out by Doug Smith with invoices to confirm. The car rides on chrome wire wheels shod with Vredstein Sprint tyres.
A particularly striking example which will turn heads wherever you go.
