The best part
Evocative and elegant, the Viva Grand Sport was the last of the prestigious pre-war hand-built Renault cars. The result of a collaboration between Renault and Marcel Riffard, it adopts a modern "hyperaerodynamic" style influenced by aeronautics.
The ACX2 represents an evolution of the Vivastella ACX1, combining classic and modern lines while retaining the distinctive flatter grille. Under the bonnet is a 4.1-litre in-line 6-cylinder engine, giving this model remarkable performance for its time.
The current owner acquired this 1936 ACX3 31 years ago. Used regularly until 2015, it was then stored for 10 years. It has just been restarted, checked and tested. According to the seller, it starts and runs correctly, with no play in the steering, and the suspension is in good condition.
Presented in a cream colour with beige roof and black leather interior, this pre-war rarity is solid and attractive. It can be upgraded or simply enjoyed in its beautiful period patina.
