The Appeal
Recognised as the world’s first ‘superbike’, the Honda CB750 was the last nail in the coffin for the once-dominant British motorcycle industry. Who wanted a rough and ready parallel twin that was designed during the 1950s when you could have a smooth-running (and much more powerful) OHC inline-four?!
It’s not often we see a modified example, and more’s the pity, as this restomodded 1972 CB750 looks absolutely fabulous. Striking a neat balance between period character and modern usability, this Honda is supremely rideable, not to mention exceedingly cool to look at. We’re sure it would be welcomed at the myriad custom bike events all over the country and could even be your daily ride, such is the CB750’s reliability.
Imported from the USA following a full mechanical and cosmetic rebuild, this motorcycle is now run in and ready to ride.

The Condition
- Completely stripped down to a bare frame for the rebuild
- Resprayed to a high standard in period-correct Honda scheme
- The frame, fuel tank and bodywork do not appear noticeably dented
- Slight signs of surface corrosion and the odd mark upon very close inspection, but nothing especially noteworthy

- No notable wear to the seat, grips, pegs or other controls/switchgear
- Custom seat arrangement and cut-down rear mudguard; front mudguard removed
- LED lights and modern instrumentation
- Black-rimmed wire wheels with retro tread pattern tyres

- Some wear to the engine casings, but nothing that appears to have damaged them structurally
