The Appeal
While the MG TF maintained a distinct pre-war aesthetic - and was really intended as a stop-gap before the introduction of the new MGA - it was still a highly accomplished car. The most refined, most 'complete' of the beloved T-Series, these are the rarest and most sought-after in the line, and still offer a decent turn of speed and charisma for the enthusiast today.
The TF was picked up worldwide, and South Africa proved particularly adept with them. These cars are the best of the best, having come from a dry climate where corrosion is of little concern. No doubt about it, they're exactly what you should be going for - and this fabulous car is no exception.
The TF 1500s are relatively scarce in right-hand drive - only around 1,000 built - so beyond simply being the best examples of the T-series built, they're amongst the most desirable. Lots to get excited about, especially in such a solid example.
Solid, well presented and reportedly driving exactly as it should, this is a lovely nostalgic roadster for the enthusiast who wants to recapture that very British world of the open-top sports car.
