The Appeal
The MGA roadster was born out of a race car; specifically the George Phillips car that garnered so much attention at the 1951 Le Mans. It was all too obvious that they were onto something - the streamlined curves and ponton shape set the motoring world alight, and in 1955, the first production car rolled out of Abingdon.
The result was a hallmark moment for MG. In fact, one would be tempted to call the MGA one of the true masterstrokes of the Great British Sports Car.
Originally sold in America and reimported to the UK in 1963, this MG A has undergone a comprehensive restoration, including a conversion to a Roadster using a genuine 1958 Roadster body. It now comes to us in fine fettle, ready and waiting to hit the road with its lucky new owner.
