The MGA represented a quantum leap in MG's sports car design, a game-changer in the late 50s, setting a new standard for affordable sports cars. In comparison, the outgoing TF looked unmistakably pre-war when it came to styling and the MGA's performance was suitably up-to-date too, with near 100 mph capability from the outset.
This particular example, with its striking red paintwork and matching interior, was meticulously restored in the 1990s and has been maintained very well ever since.
