The Appeal
A galvanised chassis is the greatest gift you can give your Series Land Rover. By replacing its corrosion-prone frame, you're creating one of the hardiest classic vehicles around, future-proofing it for decades to come.
Our 1962 Series IIA was purchased in late 2024 with the sole purpose of undergoing a thorough restoration, and the scope of work carried out is impressive. The vehicle was fully dismantled, with attention given to the chassis, engine, gearbox, transfer case, braking system, suspension, clutch, and radiator, all of which have reportedly been renewed or refurbished.
Cosmetically, the Land Rover has been resprayed, with care taken to retain as many original panels as possible. Inside, new Exmoor trim has been fitted alongside a new hood, and a new wiring harness ensures the electrics are fresh throughout.
The vendor describes the result as a reborn classic that is a pleasure to drive, and with this level of work underpinning it, this Series 2 represents a compelling opportunity for the next custodian.IMG_0117 Richmond.jpeg6.25 MB

✓ We want a smooth transaction just as much as you do and as such we run all UK-registered cars and motorbikes for sale on Car & Classic through an online HPI check to verify that they show no insurance database markers for damage or theft, and have no finance owing, allowing you to bid with confidence.
✓ We also check whether vehicles are recorded as being written off as part of an insurance total loss claim at the time an advert is placed on Car & Classic and we helpfully provide write-off category labels (Cat C/D/S/N) for your assistance. However, the presence or absence of a label does not guarantee the vehicle’s status and it is always worthwhile carrying out your own full vehicle history check before making an offer on a vehicle.
✓ Buyers are responsible for vehicle collection
or delivery. Importing vehicles may result in additional customs duties and import taxes so it's worth checking beforehand. It is the bidders responsibility to confirm import eligibility prior to purchase.
