When it comes to simplicity and rugged, go-anywhere character, the Land Rover is king - but it's the second series that often takes the crown in particular. This was a lightly refined iteration of the Landie, still true to its Jeep-inspired image yet just that little bit better in every way. 

Needless to say, many were picked up by the military. The vendor reports that this example is no exception, having previously seen service with the Ministry of Defence - note the military generator equipment and the rear crossmember.
