The Appeal
The SEAT 600 is Spain's answer to the Fiat 600, a licence-built version of the iconic Italian city car that became a symbol of Spain's economic growth during the 1960s and 70s. The 600 E, fitted with the enlarged 767cc engine, represents the final and most refined evolution of the model. These charming rear-engined microcars are increasingly sought after by collectors on both sides of the Pyrenees.
This 1970 example is registered in France on a collection carte grise. It was purchased in May 2024 from Epoca Motors in Barcelona, and had been repainted in a Ferrari shade of red prior to the current owner's acquisition. We are told the service book is present with stamps from 1986 onwards, providing a degree of documented history. The bodywork presents well overall, though some corrosion and minor rust spots are noted. Inside, the black interior shows age-commensurate wear. A valid French technical inspection is in place until March 2027, with only minor deficiencies recorded. The car is being sold on behalf of the owner, who is unable to keep it for health reasons.
