The Appeal

It's incredible to think that the Mini Moke was originally intended for the Armed Forces! It doesn't take a military strategist to see it wasn't exactly suitable for active service, but the Moke did prove an enormous hit among civilian buyers. A beloved "beach car" like the Volkswagen Trekker, Citroën Méhari, and Fiat Jolly, the Mini Moke proved the perfect transport for exploring coastal villages and quaysides.

The vendor tells us:

"I bought the car about 11 years ago and gave it to Runamoke for a full nut and bolt rebuild, which took 12 months and £18k to restore. Everything was taken back to metal and powder-coated, and full weather gear fitted. It been in my heated garage since, started every week. The car is like the day I had it back from the restorers."
