British automotive engineering at its peak. The Triumph Stag is seen by many to be one of the top ranking classic British roadsters and for good reason. The History and Paperwork

As we understand the car was subject to a thorough restoration circa 2005 with some previous work, including a respray being performed in the 1990s
Backed by a solid history file from throughout the car’s lifetime which becomes more extensive post 2017, after purchase by the current owner
Vast collection of invoices present for servicing work and parts bought to maintain the vehicle
Invoice for recent top end engine rebuild and overhaul costing over £4500
British Motor Heritage Certificate present, detailing various specs and build information about the car

Both tax and MOT exempt due to the Stag’s age and historic status

The interior stands today in wonderful form and has been excellently preserved since the 2018 refinish
New wood veneer panels were sourced and fitted to many areas of the cabin including the lower dash and gearstick surround
Tan seating front and rear is in fine form and exhibits very little if anything in the way of wear or signs of age, with new foam installed in the front seats
New plush wool carpeting was sourced and installed throughout the cabin floor, still presenting in good clean order
Three spoke original Stag steering wheel
Dash panel is in great shape, with good quality contrasting black upholstery and wood inserts, lacking in signs of age or sun and UV damage
Period Blaupunkt radio installed but not connected, as it is also fitted with an aftermarket concealed Bluetooth amplifier and four speakers
Interior gauges and switchgear are of a great quality throughout and look to have avoided signs of heavier more excessive use in their time
Well upholstered tan door panels with neat and clean door furniture and embellishments
Finished in British Racing Green, arguably the finest colour choice for a car such as this
Originally left the factory in Java Green, but this was changed to the colour seen today in the 1990s as we understand, to more closely replicate the final Stag off of the production line
A good honest, presentable example from an aesthetic perspective
There are some general signs of age and marking to be seen but nothing to be considered major or which detracts from the look of the car as we can see

Wheels fitted to Hankook Optimo K715 tyres for a period look and stance
Recent top end engine rebuild and overhaul performed in mid 2022 by Stag specialists Faversham Classics costing over £4500
Replacement cylinder heads, head gaskets, timing chains, exhaust valves, hardened valve seats, springs, guides, cam followers, studs, water pump, and cam covers were all installed as part of the process
As a result the 3.0 litre V8 engine now stands in impeccable form and matches the quality we find the rest of the car in
Electronic ignition fitted
The ignition system has also been overhauled under the current ownership with a new distributor cap, rotor arm, HT leads, ignition coil, and new overdrive solenoid fitted
