The Appeal
For many enthusiasts, the modern move to electric is making the V8-powered R107 cars increasingly appealing. The 3.5L M116 350SL represents a good blend of eight-pot soundtrack and economy, plus you get all the multifold joys of relaxing SL motoring.
Here is an interesting project for the right enthusiast. It is a 1977 350SL finished in black with matching hard top and black leather and in good general condition. The car starts and runs but develops a fault when warm. The vendor has fitted new injectors but he is now emigrating and feels it is time for a more knowledgeable enthusiast to get this classic roadster back on the road.
The car comes with a good history file, that hard top and some desirable options like the full leather and ‘Mexican Hat’ alloys.
