The Appeal

For those in the know, the Danz Benz collection is the home of some of the best examples of Stuttgart’s output. This car was acquired from the museum in 2024 and is in magnificent condition.

The car presents so well because it received a recent glass-out respray in original Thistle Green. The work included replacing external chromework and seals. Inside there is an ultra rare velour interior in matching green with smart Zebrano wood veneers. The specification includes some sought-after features like the Mexican Hat alloys, electric sunroof and rear headrests.

With under 83,500 miles on the clock this five cylinder 3L diesel is barely run in. We are told that it has been maintained by main dealers to 65,000 miles and then by independent marque specialists. It was serviced 500 miles ago. The photos show the extensive history file. The car carries MOT to late October 2025 with no advisories. As a January 1984 registered car it is eligible for Historic Vehicle status.

The vendor tells us that just 20 of this model remain. With that rarity plus its diesel economy, this is the sort of W123 that appeals to the head and the heart.
