The Appeal
The SJ30 second-generation ‘Jimny’ became a style statement, bestowing a sense of freedom and fun on whoever rode in it. Yet there was much more to it - this was a 4x4 as capable offroad as it was cruising the boulevards.
Few have survived the ravages of time, but this carefully restored one must be amongst the best of that group. It was extensively restored to a high standard in 2020 and covered few miles since. That work covered virtually every aspect including bodywork, paintwork, interior trim and mechanical overhaul, including a full engine rebuild. Now finished in Mazda Ceramic White it features some choice upgrades such as a power steering conversion and hydraulic handbrake. It runs and drives very well we are told, helped by new features like a replacement clutch and propshaft UJs.
The Samurai is the light and nimble road car that can tackle virtually any off-road track. This one is highly presented and comes to market with the added reassurance of a lengthy, advisory-free MOT.
