The Appeal
A high price and the dying days of the coupe’s hegemony stifled sales of Volkswagen’s brilliant Corrado. That makes them rare today, but highly desirable amongst enthusiasts who value the car’s agile Golf Mk2 underpinnings, sleek style and grunty VR6.
They particularly gravitate to this car, the VR6 Storm. To mark the end of Corrado production, Volkswagen produced 500 Storms for the UK market - 250 blue and 250 Pearl Green metallic cars like ths one. Each car got a luxury specification including full leather plus features like an electric tilt/slide sunroof.
The Storm’s rarity means that few reach the open market. Here is your chance to bag one of the greatest coupes of the 90s. It belongs to a serial Storm enthusiast who is regrettably selling it due to changed circumstances.
The car is in very good, usable condition. It can be driven away but there is scope to improve it, a process that will doubtless be helped along by the large quantity of useful spares supplied with the car. History and Paperwork
