The Appeal

For lovers of vintage-themed classics, the Ford Zetec-powered 4/4 is the perfect blend of traditional looks and reliable, modern mechanicals. That it also gives membership of the friendly and enthusiastic Morgan owners circle is a significant added bonus.

This 1996 4/4 Zetec has covered a mere 22,700 miles from new. It is a really lovely example, helped by the dark green paintwork and beige leather interior with its walnut dashboard. It was bought by the vendor’s friend when it was one year old and acquired by the seller 23 years ago. Throughout their tenure, it has always been garaged. A signal of its careful, dry-weather use is that the hood has never been used during the last 22 years.

The car is said to run and drive well. We are told that it has always been reliable and only required routine maintenance. For added reassurance, the MOT runs to July 2026 with a single, with the advisory rectified.

“The car has been cherished and well-maintained. The driving experience with the long bonnet ahead of you is unlike any modern car. Driving at 50 mph feels like 70 mph.
