The Appeal
The DB9 is one of motoring’s greatest GTs, a car perfectly suited to the automatic gearbox fitted to the vast majority of the production run. But, for the buyers of the 237 Volantes who ticked the ‘6spd manual’ option, there was the chance to discover something more - a thoroughly sorted, agile and engaging sports car.
This car is a genuine ‘one of one.’ Of those 237 convertibles, just 36 were destined for the UK market. Of those, only one got the beautiful Racing Green metallic paintwork of this car. It is matched to a Parliament Green leather interior accented with Mahogany veneers.
The car has passed through just four keepers in its 19 years, amassing less than 25,000 miles in its life. During that time, it has been serviced and maintained regardless of mileage. Most of that work has been by Aston Martin main dealers and in recent years the task has been entrusted to well regarded specialists.
The car was last serviced in 2022 at 20,423 miles. More recent work has included overhaul of the air conditioning system. The MOT runs to April 2026 with no advisories.
This is a very well sorted, exceptionally rare example of the widely admired DB9.
