The Appeal
The MGC was the closest Abingdon came to an E-Type rival. A superb long-distance GT with a torquey six-cylinder engine, it was built as a replacement for the Austin-Healey 3000. Just 4,457 hard-topped GTs were made of which this one of the UK-supplied right-hand drive examples.
£7,500 has just been spent on an engine and gearbox rebuild, along with a great deal of other work since the vendor acquired the car in 2018. As the photographs show, the MGC presents very well indeed and we're informed that it runs brilliantly, offering superb performance. Exempt from road tax and MOT, it's ready to go.image.png6.32 MB
