The Appeal
There’s something wonderfully analogue about a classic 911, particularly when it’s in cabriolet form and painted in this subtly retro light green. With the top off, the flat-six burbling away behind you, and a five-speed manual shifter under your palm, it’s peak ‘80s motoring theatre. The interior is wonderfully period, black leather with just enough wear to prove its honesty, and the exterior presents strongly for a car that’s now pushing forty.
This 911 wears its age confidently. The paintwork, in a rare soft green hue, still shines up well and sets the car apart from the usual silver or guards red fare. The navy blue fabric Convertible top fits neatly, and the signature black Carrera script is visible beneath the rear light bar. Fuchs-style wheels and black trim add to the car’s classic appeal.
Inside, the cabin retains its factory black leather finish, with some expected wear to the seats — including a visible rip on the driver’s side. Carpets and dash are in decent order, the gauges remain legible and intact, and all trim appears present. The engine bay is clean, tidy, and reassuringly dry. The underside, while showing some surface corrosion, looks structurally sound and largely untouched, suggesting originality rather than neglect.image.png3.25 MB
